ELBJAZZ ANNOUNCES PROGRAMME: JAMIE CULLUM COMING TO HAMBURG ON 31 MAY 2019.

Hamburg, 12 February 2019 – The ELBJAZZ 2019 programme is set! One can now see on the festival’s website which artists will be performing on Friday (31 May 2019) and which ones on Saturday (1 June 2019).

All fans of Jamie Cullum (photo) can mark their calendars for 31 May. The British artist will perform one of his few concerts in Germany this year – and that against the unique backdrop of the Port of Hamburg, on the main stage in the shipyards of Blohm+Voss. With more than 10 million albums sold, Cullum is Great Britain‘s most successful jazz musician. In addition to his musical talent, his flair as an entertainer comes to the fore in his live performances – he is guaranteed to give the ELBJAZZ audience a fantastic show.

Things are no less lively on the second day of the festival, 1 June. As funky and danceable as Tower of Power are with their brilliantly arranged brass section, it is hard to believe that the funk-soul-pop combo from California celebrated their 50th anniversary last year.

In this year‘s ELBJAZZ programme there are many more attractive international acts – newcomers as well as big names. Here is an overview of the artists already confirmed listed by the day of their performance (with the exception of those performing in the Elbphilharmonie). Additional acts will be announced in the weeks to come:
